fargo (1996)

aw snap mang this movie was amazing. everything about it was perfection. the midwest dialogue, the plot, and the characters everything was great. its with william h macy who hires two criminals to kill his wife and a pregnant police officer investigates the crime. steve busemi did an AMAZING job as one of the criminals. the thing that i loved the most about it is the midwest accent. as a wisconsin native, i can totally relate. everyone here always says "no kiddin", "yah", "you betcha", "how ya doin", "oh jeeze" etc etc.

the blair witch project (1999)

these days, it seems cool to talk shit about this film. a lot of people say its not scary and/or its boring. the thing about horror films especially this one, you have to watch them with an open mind. you cant just fuck all and only like it if it scared the shit out of you. the blair witch project is indeed one of the best horror films ive ever seen. the story is about 3 filmmakers who hike into black hills to film about the legend of the blair witch. the viewer is told that they were never found and they are watching the recovered footage from their expedition. many people believed the movie was real because of the millions spent on viral promotion. i still remember when it came out back in 1999. at the time i believed the story was true after listening to my brother and sister's discussion. the cover of the vhs box always haunted me.

anyway, ill give this movie an 8 out of 10.

the panic in needle park (1971)

this movie was boring as fuck. its about al pacino, a drug addict, who meets some girl and together they make drug deals with people around new york. if youre looking for a good movie about drug addicts watch trainspottting. ill give it a 3 out of 10.

fatal attraction (1987)

watched this on hbo today. it was alright. michael douglas plays a happily married guy who cheats on his wife with glenn close. they end up having sex about 219380 times and glenn becomes obsessed with michael and wants to be with him all the time. she ends up killing michael's bunny by putting it in a pan on a stove. that was pretty weird. SPOILER michael's wife ends up killing her at the end so that was cool. ill give it a 5.5 out of 10

videodrome (1983)

what a grrreat film. its about a guy named max who runs a softcore tv station and is looking for a con traversal program to air. he ends up finding a pirated vhs called videodrome that airs murder and violence. max becomes obsessed with it and ends up getting caught up with forces who created videodrome and his body is the weapon to stop it. ill give it a 7.5 out of 10

unfortunately, universal studios plans on remaking it in 2011. 10 bucks says theyre gonna release it in 3D.

week end (1967)

im not sure how i feel about this film. the cinematography was pretty neat. the story line was alright. what i got out of it was two lovers who are planning to kill each other and they get stuck in a traffic jam and the girl ends up eating her husband at the end. premier.com voted week end as the most dangerous film. of all the films ive seen so far, i think happiness is the most dangerous....and hilarious. ill give week end an 8 out of 10
